I'm pretty sure that was the 2mp (maybe a 3mp) shot with flash which made it a 50x zoom. Considering he was in a dark ditch about 5 feet away, I was surprised there wasn't a lot more.

The first shot is DSLR quality Clint...very nice...thats a Cuckoo Bee isn't it?

The frog pic has no EXIF info. but it looks like flash was used. Thus, the image should not be this noisy. What ISO did the camera choose?

It was in the macro mode and it chose 500 ISO

Wow, that means Panasonic still hasn't got a good handle of ISO noise. I was guessing the ISO was 800+ considering the amount of noise produced.
