Well, bokeh is actually the blurred pattern formed by all the subjects in the background, which can't really be clearly identified due to the very shallow DoF. This patter varies based on the lens design in terms of its blades. Some may produce circle-patterns while others produce hexagonal-patterns, etc. In this case, the background is basically various shades of green. the noise I'm talking about is the tiny dots evenly distributed throughout the image. Again, nothing major and no chroma noise but...it's there. If you run the picture through NeatImage you'll be able to easily clean it up.

Maybe it's bokeh that's yelling. Making noise. Tried NeatImage.
How's this?

Much smoother. The question is, can you tell the difference between the two?

Looks smoother but the filtered image looks dimmer and softer as well.
Neatimage took some brightness out of the image???

NeatImage didn't do it - I forgot I "brightened" the first photo in Picasa.
