You are right SSG...my neighbors give me funny looks sometimes when I have the Nikon TC-E17 stuck on the end of a camera...lol...or the 7D with the 100-400...lol

Zooms aren't equal - the FZ35 has 18x and the FZ40 has 24x. Take a closer look at images. The FZ40 gets you a little closer in. Notice the edges of the rocks.

I think ftlee was asking if zooms were equal on FZ35 and FZ40, which one would you choose. ???

oops - you're right - misread it.

If the zooms were equal I'd choose the FZ35.
