Default I love my new FZ-35!

I received my new FZ-35 a few days ago, and I have been reading through the manual, learning about a new feature every day or two, and experimenting with it as I go along. I must say that I find this camera very easy to use...the controls are well laid out and intuitive to use. It is incredibly easy to control relevant parameters. My last camera was a Fuji F30, which I rarely took off the Auto setting, because the controls were so difficult to access. I think I still prefer the Fuji, tho colour, though.

I have attached a few pics that I took in my back yard yesterday. Please feel free to offer comments and criticisms.

You sound exactly like me from yesterday! I also just received my FZ35 and I'm totally blown away! What a great camera. Never would have expected this kind of result from a $300 camera.

Nice work! I've just bought one too & couldn't be happier. The lens on this FZ35 is fabulous. I took some close up photos of flowers and they look just as pleasing as some I took with a Canon 20D and a 50mm f1.8 lens.

Nice shots - I like the fluffy bird. He looks like he enjoys the seed.

Default Thanks for the replies

I'm looking forward to growing with this camera. I am working through the full manual, which came on a disc with the camera. I sure wish I had a bound hard copy, though.

The bird shot is great...lots of details. The spider shot, I think you were a bit too close to it and the camera could not focus properly (it back-focused).

I have noticed many posting about their FZ35 coming in shipment ...
curious about the camera packing and its being subjected to transport handling, do they not arrive with some kinds of damage.
Or are they talking about cameras hand-delivered in their locality (not from overseas)?
I have inquired this morning, FZ35 out of stock in many shops, Where available, are now quoted S$600 iso S$529 from a month ago. So overseas order may be my only option - but shipment/handling risk?
