Default Question about spot focus, FZ100

Fellow FZ100 owners, can you help me out with a focus problem? I can't seem to figure out if there's a spot focus option or some sort of work around to get close to spot focus. Any help appreciated.

Thanks,.....Jack

Jack - when the "focus orange square" comes on (P mode) press the FOCUS button (on the barrel) then press the wheel and then click it to the left. The focus square should get smaller - that's the closest I've come to the FZ35's spot focus.

Tried that and it seems quick and easy. Thanks.

Used that click wheel action all the time but was never able to lock it in at the smallest settings. Is there a way to make the smallest settings the default for 1 area focus?

I never found a way to "lock" the smallest focal spot on either the FZ100 or FZ40.

Maybe reduce and then save in Custom settings on C1, C2, or C3? I meant to try that also Jack but forgot...

I stored mine in C1 and it worked fine. Although reducing the focus area each time you need it is fast and easy, if you use "spot focus" a lot, storing in a C mode is probably a good idea.

Yes I think CLint had originally suggested that to me and I forgot to do it...great to know it works...
and yes the FZ100 and the FZ40 are a snap to use...really missing them here at work...
