Default 2 FZ35/FZ40 Questions

Hi all,
I'm upgrading from FZ18. Is the video performance any different between FZ35 and FZ40? They are both 720p AVCHD-lite, right?

Also, does the FZ40 focus faster?

Many thanks,
Sean

I can't tell any difference in the video performance or the focusing between the FZ35 or FZ40.

Their sensor is small so long video shots could harm their photo quality because it makes sensor hot. I am not sure but that is why in some areas their video recording capacity is limited to 15 minutes.

Besides you can find cheaper alternatives for HD Video recording with canon sx130 or kodak z950.

In Europe, video is limited to 29m:59s for tax reasons. 30m or more and it becomes classed as a video camera that can do stills rather than a stills camera that can do video. Pure madness...

I really haven't compared the 2 video options. You can download the manual and compare the specs.
