Default FZ100 lens giggle

My FZ100 lens giggles slightly when it's off and doesn’t do this when it’s on. Is this a defect?

I'm going to guess that mean jiggle. Yes, a very tiny of movement of the lens within the barrel is possible when the camera is off. Can't say for sure when it is on because I haven't tried to wriggle it then. I have read other people commenting on the same thing so I think it is totaly normal.

That is normal. It has to have a little "play" in the lens to move in and out smoothly. Then when the camera is turned on the OIS takes over, and the "play" is gone.

My FZ100 only giggles when it's on because then it can come out to play.
