I paste my images from Picasa to this forum. Today, they started to disappear and re-appear from my posts randomly. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
I re-visit my posts to read other people's comments and noticed that some or all of my images are gone. I go back in a few minutes later and find that some of them are back. I'm really puzzled. |

It may just be your browser - the images seem to be fine now.
If it happens again, exit the browser, then restart it again.

I too experienced problems viewing Saly's photos for quite a long time. Some of them showed just a small box with a red x and wouldn't open at all. I was able to view the mantis pics for a brief while, but they are not appearing again. BTW Saly, lovely photos of the mantis - is it praying mantis or preying manthis? I am unable to see your birdies photos at all from the morning.

Saly - Are you by any chance moving the pictures from one Picasa online album to another?

I copied the url of the images direct into the address line. The second and third mantis pictures come up. The first one comes up with an error message that says "Your client does not have permission to get URL /_fr0ZoeNIXNo/TKfLxzSCAtI/AAAAAAAAAGU/Ik3OOM5on9Y/s800/manthis3.jpg from this server."

Hmmm, I have the pictures set to "viewable by anyone with link", which used to work fine. What is confusing me is they used to show up fine, then they just disappeared all of a sudden. If this continues, I guess I will switch to Flickr.

Clint - do you have your albums in Picasa set to "visible to public on the web" or "visible to everyone with link"?

Maybe Picasa is having problems with their servers. I've tried both - Picasa and Flickr - and like the latter much better.

For the ones I show here, I make it a "public" album. For family stuff I use the "anyone with the link" , I send them an "Invitation"which has the link. You can choose either one and the drag and drop will still work but in the public album you can see the rest of the pictures in that album. I think it's just an intermittent problem with Picasa. I noticed a few of mine doing the same thing. Up until yesterday I haven't seen the problem.
