I agree with NileLily. These show near perfect exposure and great sharpness.

CLint I purchased a used FZ50 and it has a manual zoom lens...a large sensor...and 10Mp...I think you would really enjoy it...the photos are just really great and for the Ironman that you attend it would be very nice...
It's kinda old like us, but reliable...lol...

That's the FZ40.

I Canon SX30IS coming today - so we'll see how it compares to the FZ40.

I've heard good things about the old FZ50 - it has the articulating LCD which I miss - eager to see how the Canon does.

Thanks - it took a while to ID them. At first I thought it was some sort of katydid.
These guys were good at hiding. Initially I didn't see them. Then after staring at the reeds very closely I finally saw one, then the other two.

The battery is charging now. I'm eager to see how it compares to the FZ40.
