The bee shot (#4) is beautiful! Not just in focus and everything, but the colors and composition are very nice.

Agree with Saly.

Looks like FZ40 is handling dynamic range well in your PIXes.
MACRO Focus is something that Ive personally had difficulty with for every camera Ive used, so Ive learned to be cautious & take extra care to ensure/verify the composition before shooting. Realizing always that perfect sharpness is not ALWAYS a desired attribute in a photo, but with a sharp photo one can always take out sharpness if needed, but the reverse is not effectively as true (ie, there is a cost).

I think what we are finding via the forums) is that the new crop of cameras (ie, FZ100, FZ40) are most capable, but to achieve this increased capability, they are a bit more complex. As one user has recently stated about his new FZ (paraphrase):
"These cameras demand that you understand them."

Nice pics.
How/where did you sell FZ35 and did you get a good money for it?

thanks everyone for the nice comments.

mystery~ i use amazon marketplace (very user friendly and hassle free) and i sold it for a wee bit more than i bought it for. and it sold in just a few hours. i am also selling my fuji f70exr. i've had very positive experiences using amazon both as a seller and a consumer.

hope to get out this coming weekend and snap away with the fz40.

take care,
