Why are there reflections in the water for the FZ40, but very little for the SX30? Does the camera comes with a filter or something?

A little difference in the time of day and probably a little difference in the tripod placement. No filters.

Interesting. The colors are so different. SX30 look very good at low ISO, but I see a lot of noise (leaves in the back ground) in 400 and up.

Default We would like to check your FZ40 vs SX30IS Originals

Hi,

We, at dpreview forums, have been waiting very long for FZ40\45 vs SX30IS comparisons, until some member found yours.

Would you mind posting the Originals (full sizes) of your excellent comparisons either here or at dpreview forums, to allow us to perform what we call a detail's analysis. Specially these full zoom comparisons, but I'm very interested also in your other comparative series, flash, and wide angle. Unfortunatelly, it seems that in the case of Macro samples you just took SX30IS versions but not comparative FZ40\45 equivalents.

Thanks in advance,

Ed

I was trying a few today. Maybe a little better color. Are you saying that you think the SX30 has too much noise at ISO 400?

can't tell if its too much, there are other superzooms which have more noise.
