Default New FZ35 user having too much fun

My new toy arrived yesterday afternoon and Banshee, one of our two cats, decided that the packing paper made a great toy for her as well.

That was the first shot - quite a few more of her followed over the next few hours while I started figuring out what all the buttons do.

Lousy weather this morning kept me inside but gave me a chance to coax the other cat, Hercules, in front of the lens.

The third member of our animal kingdom here, Ginger, is quite shy but she was happy enough to stand guard for me this afternoon.

This late in the year there's not much of interest in the yard any more, but I find a few raspberries left to play a bit with some close up shots..

Meanwhile, back inside, Banshee decides that there's something fascinating about the kitchen cabinets.

And, then, finally, tonight, I got to play at taking a shot at the moon.

All in all, I'm very happy with my new toy and expect to drive the rest of the household nuts while learning more about its capabilities. These shots are only cropped or resized, no PP at all - the moon shot was done with the pic size set down to 5 for the extended zoom, ISO 200, ev -1/3, f4.4, table-top tripod, shutter priority mode.

Nice shots Mary,

You have a lovely family :-)

My first shots were of our Boxer, Jessie, and she makes such a good model.
