Default FZ35 Firmware update ?

Hi all.
I was cruising the net for firmware updates for the fz35 and stumbled upon this site BUT nothing from Panasonic yet though that I could find but heres the link I found and I think it's a beta though...any thoughts?

I've downloaded it and might give it a go later this week when I have time. It's intriguing in that it mentions reduced noise and better image stability at full zoom, both of which would be really nice to have.

by the way, the password is lumix with a lower-case L, not Lumix like it states in the thread.

I have several FZ35's so I stuck it one one and will shoot a few indoor shots to see if there's a diff in IQ...one thing we have to remeber is the Euopean limitation for video segments...it may tweak that also? But I shoot minimal video anyway except with a dedicated camcorder...

I gave it a shot on my FZ35, no problems. I took some night shots last night, and it seems to me that image noise has really been somewhat improved.

same cam so I don't know why it was issued and not on the panny page as an update but who knows it may follow.

...I am very sceptical... Is it a valid update for fz35-38? I tried to reach the link but asks for a username and password... Any suggestions?alexander
