Having a go at photographing our two dogs and one of the chickens with the FZ40:

Hey Mick, love the pup pics, and , while I'm not a real chicken guy, lovely colors on the hen/rooster! I know this is not a critique forum, and please don't shoot me for saying this, but if you could lower your perspective on the dog shots, more eye level, they would be more pleasing. Still captures their personalities as they are...

Thanks for the comments. You'd be amazed how long it takes to chase a chicken around a pen until it will look you in the eye (or lens, at least)!
