Does the GPS on the ZS7 work indoors?

Yes it can at times recieve GPS Signals indoors dependant upon the structure you are in and if the camera remains motionless until it updates the coordinates...even in a holster while on your hip it will update at times...not all the time...this also depends on where you are located and how many GPS signals are available in that particular area...
But all in all it works as good as most GPS's for Auto's as far as updating indoors...mine updates sometimes and we are in a two story home, but we also have a very good/clear view of the sky as the trees are very small around our home....
One of my Auto GPS's will not recieve a signal indoors while the other (Garmin Zumo) will recieve a signal anywhere in my home....

Thanks for the info.

I'm looking to purchase a new P&S for my wife and I REALLY want geo-tagging built into the camera. Sadly, there aren't too many cameras out there yet with geo-tagging built-in. Currently, most of her photos are taken indoors which is why I asked about the GPS.

The only other P&S that I've found that has geo-tagging built-in is the Casio H20G. I know this is the Panasonic forum, but if anyone has any comments on the Casio I'd appreciate it.

I was just about to ask wagaboo what cards he was referring to.
I've seen t he Eye-Fi cards before. I didn't know that they did geo-tagging though. I'll check them out.

Not too many access points out there. Ok, I'm not really going on an African safari but definitely not always shooting near acces points.
