Thank you all. As Mary would know, #5 is a salvia which looks pretty ordinary until you pull in real close.

Thanks everyone. I'm starting to understand the limitations of this camera/lens combo and as long as stay in favorable conditions (bright light) I get good results. You can see that #4 is in partial shade and the IQ is already deteriorating.

Jim - yes I'm using LC-55 except for the last shot.
