Default Which setting do you mostly use?

I was wondering what is the most popular setting used by FZ38 users and why, in detail please? I thought this info might help some newbies like me.

Default Aperture prority

Just because I'm looking for the sharpest image my camera can get. I'm using the f/4 and I think this is the sharpest f stop. Don't kill me if this sound stupid.

No it doesn't sound stupid to me. Being a newbie myself to photography i always wonder if i am asking a stupid question when in the company of pros in this forum but if i don't ask i don't learn so i ask.
There is never any stupid questions in my book.

If it's bright out, I get better results with P mode with ISO set to 80. Very rich image. I wish I"d used this mode more while on vacation this year. Many photos taken in iA mode were too bright on sunny days.

If it's overcast I use iA (automatic) mode for more consistent results.

These may sound silly, but I still have much to learn. So I'm experimenting with A priority and different f stops and many other settings.

"A" as I like to control the Aperture to insure I get the fastest shutter speed for the available light...also have "S" set at 1/640 to 1/800 to freeze moving objects if desired...starting to use "P" just to see what the camera selects for a certain photo and learn from the camera so to speak...
