Default Spare batteries for ZS7

I did a search but found nothing on this subject,....need a spare battery or two for my new ZS7. I can get a Panasonic for about $28 bucks but there are others listed for half that amount.

Is there a problem with the so called "chipped" battery in the ZS7? Do the non Pany replacement batteries have the battery indicator shown on the LCD?

My camera is firmware 1.2, if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Thanks for the link,...seems like the safest way to go is with the Panasonic. I think the battery has pretty good life but I'm having so much fun with this great little camera that I seem to be doing a lot of charging.

Battery is definitely on the small side...but still does a good job...Mine last very well, I keep the GPS off mostly...
