Oh my goodness - a simple first post, brings an incredible resource. Like I said I'm glad I found this place! Thanks ever so much - I will be putting the primer to good use.

Stan and LummixLearner-

Please jump in and post your photos and ask questions. That is how you learn. There are probably a half dozen of us experienced folks who check-in on the Forum at least twice a day. So we are pretty much here to help and assist.

I wrote the "Panasonic FZ35 Beginners Guide" last summer between semesters. Now in advance of beginning the Winter Quarter (I am teaching both Digital Cameras and Photoshop) I am working at getting a new FZ40 up and operating. Like some others, I have been through the DSLR drill and I got tires of lugging a great big kit around.

The macro on the ZS7 is absolutely amazing!! I didn't realize bugs had such beautiful colors!
