Cole - those are great shots - your heavy glass adds the class!

Many thanks Jim/Clint for the kind words...Makes the case for the FZ40 for sure...I knew it was a good camera and it can get some great details...Windows Photo Gallery 5 second PP on all of these...Minimal NR...Sharp one click to right...Cropped for composition...really trying to keep it simple...

Beautiful shots!

Is this lens different from the Tcon-17 (which I noticed is discontinued)? Is this another option to the LT-55?

Saly these are expensive when you can find them...up to $600 USD and some have went higher...Nikon TC-E17ED...Google...Now there is an Indonesian Gent on DP Review that says the Canon TC-DC58A is also an excellent Teleconverter although it is only 1.5X...

Ah, OK. How does it compare to the Tcon17 and the LT55? Better quality lens? More zoom? Or do these not fit on the FZ40 & 100?

It is the best Teleconverter made for the FZ series...actually made for smaller Nikon cameras, but is the best glass there is...it's quite a chunk of glass too!
