Default FZ40 - Birds in Australia

We've been down in New South Wales visiting relatives - these are all backyard shots:

Wow, these are wild birds you find in the backyard? Amazing. The colors are fantastic on #2 and #4. Very sharp, nice shots!

You seem to have a really wild, rich backyard! Amazing close up of colorful birds. The sulphur crest has come out very well. Great shots, keep them coming.

Thanks saly. We do see these birds a fair bit in Australia but my in-laws live near the beach in a quiet place and there are heaps of these birds around and many of them feed out of our hands.

There are kangaroos here too - I'm planning to photograph them tomorrow.

Those are incredible shots! I especially like #2; the detail in the feathers is amazing.

I'm certainly happy that this forum convinced me to get a FZ40!
