Default FZ38 - How to change aperture in Shutter mode?

Hi everyone.

As above please?

I cant seem to be able to locate the 'f' value.

I can change the ISO and obviously the shutter value, but cant seem to change the aperture value.

Any advice would be great.

Thank you.

Hi Katchit,

You can't change it in SP mode.

Reason is, the exposure is a function of lens, ISO, shutter and aperture. If you change 3 of those, the fourth will need to be calculated by the camera. The point of this mode is to allow you to fix the shutter speed for specific effects.

I would suggest using P mode most of the time; in that mode you can move from wide aperture / fast shutter through narrow aperture / slower shutter. It gives you most of the control you need - unless you need to move to a really slow shutter speed for a specific purpose.

Katchit-

Only in the Manual Mode do you have full control over shutter speed and aperture at the same time.

If u wnt 2 control both shutter speed & aperture , then use Manual mode. & believe me u can get awesome pics.

Once u know how 2 use Manual mode than u will capture ur most of pics by this mode only.
