Default Macro lenses

Just got the FZ35 and was doing some research on macro lenses and filters. The lc55 is said to be for the FZ35 but is a 55mm lens. I though the FZ35 was a 46mm so do you need an adapter or what? Can you use any 55mm filters with the FZ35?

Welcome to the Panasonic P+S folder. Please make yourself comfortable.

You must first mount a LA3 lens adapter, and then the LC55 is mounted on the lens adapter. That also allows you to use 55mm filters on your FZ35.

So a 46mm to 55mm step up ring wouldn't work? What about just a 46mm threaded magnifier? Then you could have the option of extending the zoom range past 18x, or will only a telephoto lens do that?

I am sure there are various possible solutions. In as much as you asked about the LC55 I spoke about that installation. The LA3 lens adapter cost me $8.00 delivered to my house. I thought that was a fair price for a LA3 "knock-off."

The LC55 is specifically to work with the LA3 lens adapter, without vigenetting.
