Default Amazing Lens Performance on the FZ40

I continue to be amazed at the sharpness and resolution of the lens on my new FZ40. Understand that I am only discussing lens performance, but the lens on this FZ40 appears to surpass that of the lens on my DSLR (Sony 55-200mm).

The sharpness is extraordinary; not to mention the natural color of the photo!

I had already thought so based on the photos posted on this forum. Your photo goes to prove it for sure. A good photo too, Sarah. Excellent clarity, color and details.

I agree - the lens on the fz40 is amazing given its price and portability.

Oversea-

The photo of my husband is cropped in a standard 8" X 10" format.

Wow...pretty impressive lens performance indeed. I have no doubt it outperforms the Sony 55-200mm.
