Default Shikra (hawk)

I noticed this bird sitting on the coconut tree about 20 meters away. It was breezy, the branches were swaying and obstructing, and the sun also was coming out and hiding intermittently. I managed to get a few quick shots. For the distance, I think the FZ28 has done its job well.

Though smaller than a crow, the bird was brave and was not disturbed by the intimidating crowd of crows trying to shoo it away. Besides, it was alert too. Before I could click a few snaps, it was directly looking at me!

Thank you Clint! I was looking for the right word to describe his look and you put it on the dot!

Great job, Raghu-

The beady eye stare and alertness of a hawk is unmistakable.
