All Hobbies are money pits...but, its like motorcycling, collecting anything, we don't mind the cost...well, too much. It only adds to the value of what we collect/hobby.
The better pictures we take, the better ride we have that is the most important. Sometimes, for me, the better photos I have taken may be with my older camera...sometimes with just newer information.

In Wag's defense all of the Canon 7D package I have purchased has went up in price...the lens are all increasing not decreasing in price...so even if you decide to back out Wag you'll not lose money if you do it will be minimal...I sold my T1i for $30 less than i paid for it...bought a Canon 10-22 lens for $622 and sold it for $600 3 months later...check it's price now!

You are building on a nice kit Wag with a 1.6 crop camera...you need a 100-400 lens now and that will give you equivalent 640mm on the long end...

Nice choice. I was actually trying to choose between this camera and the nikkon 3100 when I ended up buying my fz.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Thanks LTZ470...I need to stop spending for a little bit even though I got a great deal BUT will look into that 100-400 for sure.
So far everything pictured was less than $1000

@Joe Bananas ...still love my 35 don't get me wrong
