It's here. At 07-30 their was a knock at the door followed by the ringing of the door bell, "someone at the door" my wife informed me, it will be for you was my reply (no way do I get up at 07-30 not even if the house was on fire). Any way too cut a long story short it was the camera, my wife was like a child at Christmas, opening the box and looking at every thing in awe. Today is her art club, and for the first time in 15yrs she was late.... Needless to say she is delighted................. Thanks to every one for helping me in the choice of this superb camera..

It might be a while before she lets me have a go. I need to find a way to grip it, it is a lot smaller than my Fuji FinePix S8100, but I will master it in the end and get one of my own (maybe the FZ100)...........

Is there any where that explains the abbreviations that are given in the instructions. Or is it assumed that every one knows what they mean?..

Hi Clint501, I will get her to make a list. Did you or any one else get the free copy of PhotofunSTUDIO 5.0...... I up loaded it from the disk provided and deleted it half an hour later, I found it to be a waste of space on the computer.. I have Photo shop 7, plus Paint shop pro 8, so it will be no miss, just wondering if any one uses it?

I didn't like PhotoFun either. I used it for about a day and then uninstalled it. I prefer Picasa, Faststone Imageviewer and Zoner 13 Photo Studio. All freeware much better than PhotoFun.

I have the trial copy of Adobe CS5 and would love to keep it but it's hard to justify spending $400 to $600.

The quickest way to find abbreviations is to type it into Google. With all the short cuts, texting and abbreviated spellings there are quite a few a I don't know.

Here's a good place to start http://www.abbreviations.com/
