Thanks everyone, I just love these little guys, too.

#1 through #3 is the same bird, an Anna's Hummingbird. #3 through #6 is a same bird, I'm pretty sure it's an Allen's Hummingbird.

you are right.

#1 through #3 is a male and #4 through #1 is a female Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna)

Great photos, Saly ... I love hummers ... they can be surprisingly brave ... I've been standing just a couple feet from their feeder and they just buzz over, land, and eat ... 'course, I never have a camera w/me when that happens, wouldn't you know? And yes, LTZ, the Annas are very showy ... think they know it, too! (o:
