Default Fz100 - 1600 iso

I thought I would have a go at 1600 ISO thinking that if I used this coupled with the 5MP setting I might get a lot of useful noise, instead I got this;

I then upsized it to 7.5" x 10" @ 300 dpi and looking at it at 100% onscreen it will make a very good print indeed.

This was what I was hoping to be able to create easily using the noise to make the image more dramatic instead I had to spend 1/2 an hour to get it this far;

One really does begins to wonder about all the bad reviews.

Cheers - Jim

Dear Sarah,

Is it that everyone has read the reviews and not tried it for themselves? I must admit that I thought I would get loads of lovely noise, a bit like Tri-X at 6400 ASA. I was quite disappointed :-) But nevertheless when the occasion demands I won't think twice about using it.

Warmest wishes - Jim
