Hi Stefan-

Thanks for showing is around Emden, a famous German ship building center. You had a rainy day for your outing but did a very nice job World Discovery Cruise Lines built one of the ships in Emden.

Even on a grey day Emden looks well interesting, lots of photo ops for sure. Looks like you are getting along fine with the FZ45, looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Very nice, thanks for sharing. Is that a fish (salmon) that the statue of the girl is holding?

Another nice series on a cloudy day. I like the statue shot.

As Sarah said, the town has historical links with ship building and during the 1980's had links with some of the European offshore radio stations.

One of the ship yards there was where the famous radio London ship (MV galaxy, former USS Density) was cut up and turned into scrap.

Nice set of pictures, Stef

Thanks a lot.

At the Delft staircase is the fish girl "Jantje Vis" with a flat basket of fish, a bronze sculpture from 1986, which should point to the importance of the herring fishing for the city of Emden.

Lovely series, thanks for sharing your little part of the world with us.
I think #2 is interesting with the foreground colour very sharp and the background misty/foggy.
