Thanks for all the great comments folks, very much appreciated. It really is a magical place, and being Monday there were not many other people around, so one felt really alone with the wilderness of it all, great. Some more photos.

A gorgeous series, really lovely composition. Like 4&5 in the first set and No.3 in the 2nd set, again stunning compostion. Nice retouch job as well, not at all overdone. Look forward to seeing more photos - Dyane

Great second set too - I love the house, you've got some high colour saturation there and it works really well.

Bumblebee - I have a huge thank you from my Oz friends who I mentioned above. Not only did they think your pictures are awesome, but they have just emailed me to say they are coming to UK this summer & not only will visit me but are already planning to go to Glendalough, so your pictures have spurred them on in their plans. Thank you so much!

BTW - second set are great too!

A very enjoyable series of photographs, Bumblebee6. Thank you for sharing them.
I notice from looking at the EXIF that you are manually setting the white balance. Please could you tell me how you did this? Did you use a white card or similar method?

Hello Arrowhead, thanks for your post. I did this by using the White balance on the main menu. I chose the mode I wanted, usually AWB or Sunny Day in this case, then clicked the arrow again to go to the WB Ajust grid. On the grid I clicked up and left till the colours in the view finder were similar to what I was actually seeing.

Hope that makes sense, cheers.

Bumblebee-

Thanks for this second series. They look wonderful. Clearly the #1 photo is my favorite.
