Raghu, how did you edit the background? I have never managed to do that successfully with any photo.

Thank you, Sujaan. I do that with GIMP. I believe Photoshop has an easier way of selecting objects with something like 'magic wand', but I have not learnt that. Somehow, I started with GIMP and settled on that. As to how I did it, the process is like this: First select the object you want to keep. In GIMP, I do this by marking a path around the object and then selecting it. Then, by inversing the selection, you select all areas other than the selection, and apply either a 'fill' effect or a 'blend' effect with a pre-chosen background color. Sounds simple, but takes time depending on the contour of the object.

Thanks so much...I use picnik and I dont think it is that powerful.

Ill give GIMP a try.
