Default FZ10 EVF Boost via firmware update?

Some have complained bitterly about FZ10 not being able to frame shots due to the EVF/LCD darkening under specific manual settings. Do you think the EVF boost may be done in a firmware update? Maybe as an option that can be turned on and off? Personally it has not been a huge issue for me, just curious.

I won't say no, but I honestly doubt it.

There is a way that the sensitivity can be increased, but it adds a significant lag which is unacceptable. I've used the FZ10 now for about 4000 photos. While there have been times, in extreme cases, where the image was dark, I was able to get some great photos and it focused fine despite the fact that the audible indication suggested otherwise.

The feedback I've received from CE clearly shows that overall, it's becomming a very popular camera. Granted "some have complained", but I know of no other camera that can satisfy everyone - and "some" in this situation is very few in number.

If you look beyond those people who communicate in these forums, the dealer feedback and trade show feedback doesn't echo these issues. Once one person introduces an issue in an on line discussion, you immediately have others jumping in to support. Befire you know it, it's what appears to be an epidemic.

We truly appreciate the suggestions and comments all of you offer, but before any action can be taken it must be verified from several sources. These include feedback from dealers and trade shows, our Call Center, and other info sources we use.
