JJ,

a wonderful shot of a super cute squirrel.
How far was it away?

Cheers,

Stefan

Can you share some details of camera settings, please? It looks like a full zoom by the defocused background. How about Contrast, Noise Suppression, Sharpness settings? Handheld, or tripod?

These are the kind of shots I expect, but am so far away. I shot a group of images this morning of Wild Turkey, but ended up deleting them all -- none were sharp enough to even save. Most were garbage. Disappointed because they were close, good position for shots, good light. Most everything was right, but I failed to bring in any shots worthwhile.

I am befriending a deer for the past couple of evenings. I have her eating corn from a bucket, about four feet away. She has yet to take corn from the bucket in my hand, but I think I may reach this point soon. With this opportunity, I am expecting an opportunity for some very close shots soon. Now, the question is can I get any shots that are worth saving?

I am concluding the window of good shots is very, very narrow.

Nice shot, great expression on the cute guy! It look ever so slightly over-sharpened (or contrasted) though....
