Default Ring trial for close up lenses

I would start a ring trial for different close up lenses on the FZ40/45.
I suggest to use something, which is available both in Europe and the US (e.g. a specified barcode, a ruler ...). The ring trial should be done in the following way:

Shots should be make

1. with tripod
2. with smallest optical zoom, mean optical zoom and maximum optical zoom
3. at ISO 80
4. with aperture priority
5. with minimum and maximum aperture

an posted in this thread ooc without pp.

Any further ideas or suggestions?

Cheers,

Stefan

G'day Stefan

Sounds interesting
Some Qs

- by "ring" trial, do you mean a trial where anyone in the group can insert images?
- by smallest optical zoom > do you mean the camera's 1x zoom?
- would it be easier to suggest 1x then 5x then 10x [as we've all got those settings, with 15x & 20x optional?
- I would also suggest that images be downsized to 800 or 1024 to assist downloading

Regards, Phil

Stefan-

I actually use a "cheapo" (S6000 model) Nikon P+S for all my macro work and am very happy with its performance.

Very good idea, I agree.

Also a very good idea, also agree.

Cheers,

Stefan
