Default Experimenting with flowers (FZ35)

Got a bit tired of the "same old, same old", so decided to experiment with lighting and angles. C&C appreciated!

#1 Tulip

#2 California poppy (our state flower)

#3 Yellow poppy

#4 Not part of the experiment - just practicing shooting on a gloomy day. Japanese maple seeds in spring showers.

Stunning series of shots Saly. Love No.1, the colour and clarity are super. No.3 wins it for me again for the clarity and your use of light and DOF are excellent - almost looks as the the flower is made out of paper, really fantastically well captured.

Love #3 and 4, especially the crinkled paper look of #3. Beautiful shots.

Striking colors and great clarity in 1,3 and 4. #2 looks a little fuzzy to me. The brightness and texture of #3 makes it my fav.

Thanks Craig and Raghu! I was trying for a "dreamy" look in #2 but I see now that the center should have been sharper.
