That's close Stefan. Nice colour on this fly and I wouldn't worry about the damaged eye - it has plenty more.

Stefan & Bernice - I don't think there is any damage - it is the reflection of light on a compound eye when something strong like sun or flashlight is reflected. Mostly hexagon (sometimes perfect, sometimes stretched) pattern is formed, but it depends on the structure of the eye of the insect. Nice capture, BTW.
