Default Well I'm upgrading.

I'm going to be upgrading from my FZ40 to a Canon Rebel XS. I have found that I shoot a lot of lowlight and the FZ40 can't do that too well. Other than that I was very happy with the camera. I am selling it will all of my accessories to be able to buy a few nice lenses for the XS. But I will still lurk these forums and see all of the pictures posted here.

I was considering a DSLR for when my tax return comes. The main reason is I would like to have a focus ring for quick easy focus.

But I like the 18x zoom and to get that with DSLR would be an extra $500 maybe.

I do have BH's 2 yr extended warranty and thought oh well I'll just buy some addons to the FZ35 instead.

I wish there was an adapter lense you could add to the FZ-35 that would give you a focus ring for easy manual focus. I find the control stick manual focus hard to use and it over or under shoots the focus too easy and I end up going back and forth with it as my subject disappears. .

Good luck with the DSLR and stay in touch.
