I'm anxious to try the dandalions with different sunlight; but it's been rainy, until this morning.

Aren't there a Mountain range called the Bitterroots?

Indeed there is; the Bitterroot Range runs along the Montana/Idaho border. I'm in the Big Belt Mountains.
