Hi Gang - thanks for the lovely comments - means a lot as always. It is a fascinating plant that I will go back and capture again for sure. Would be well pleased to get a shot with a fly in it - now that will be a real challenge for me

Sorry, I missed this post

Great capture of the delicate colors, and good detail of the spikes.

Common name for this plant is Venus flytrap.

They can be tricky to grow, and never feed them processed ham, the plants just die a few days later

Steven Speilberg will be calling you sometime soon... maybe a new movie "The Day of the Venus Flytraps" (for those of you who are old enough to remember Day of the Triffids)
