Chris, thanks! I was so glad to get a couple of photos of it!

Thanks Saly! Indeed they are huge! I could hear it way before it came in over the mountain, directly over my house.

Now it makes sense that you said you were in "P" a.k.a. Program mode.

LOL! I can see where we both were confused!

I guess that's what happens when your camera has a 200+ page manual.

Living in the mountains or near them, you must be looking at some beautiful scenery every day.

Dabbler, here's a view from my deck: The little building is my observatory. The roof rolls off, & I have a 16" telescope in there.

Thanks JJ! I'm very blessed to live in the mountains of Montana. I have 20 acres, & moved up here, when my husband of 30 years passed away.

The beauty everywhere, sure inspires me to enjoy my camera. When I got these shots of the C17, I was sitting on the deck, trying to capture a good photo of the brilliant blue Mountain bluebirds. Seems I got a rather larger "bird", instead!

Default What a nice view!

I'm envious of the fact that you have Mountain Bluebirds to enjoy.
Despite the fact that the Bluebird is the state bird of NY, I have never seen one, as the House Sparrows and European Starlings have crowded them out of my area.
Having your own personal observatory must be absolutely great!
The wonders of the universe really help to put things in perspective.
