I'm having a real hard time trying to decide which I like better, your FZ40 or FZ100 shots. They are subtly different. I really do like the look of FZ40 a lot. Do you have a personal favorite between the two? These are breathtakingly beautiful. The colors of the dragonfly are fantastic.

Yes the FZ40 CCD Sensor wins out in detail...BUT I don't think I have actually learned to use the FZ100 to it's full capabilites yet...everytime I pick it up I learn a little more...I think the Canon 500D has really helped the IQ of the FZ40 and FZ100 Close Ups although it doesn't work well on every camera...strange bird these lens sometimes?...

More great shots. Agree about the FZ40 showing a little better detail.

Whew! What talent you have in shooting these subjects! It's so difficult to even try to narrow down to a favorite; but #11 is it, for me!

You certainly are an inspiration to keep us out, imaging!

Beautiful images, all, from both cameras. I seem to recall you got some nice results from the ZS7 as well. You have shown that good close-ups can be had without a dslr and dedicated macro lens. Since you shoot both, what is your feeling on the difference between the "p&s" (superzoom), and the dslr?

The GH2 MILS (Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens System?) is what I use most now and the difference is the GH2 is more consistent long and short...the IQ is better if you pixel peep also, but I can't tell the difference cause I don't print large sizes...

Speed - GH2
Af Accuracy - GH2
Video - GH2
Able to pull SD Card when on Tripod and Mounting Plate in place - GH2
Manual Options - GH2
Touch Screen for Composing (Moving AF Point quickly) - GH2
FN Buttons - GH2 (Has 3 FN Buttons to set your own custom function)
EVF - GH2 by FAR!
Weight and Size - Superzoom
All-In-One Functionality - Superzoom
Battery Life - Equal
Overall Cost Effective - Superzoom

Welcome back LTZ470, you have'nt lost your touch while away.

Nice color color detail in the dragonfly shots.

Is the Canon 500 D the equivalent of the LC55 (i.e. 3 diopter) ?
