hi Beli, nice series of shots.

The only time you need to use the conversion option is if you are attaching the LA3 extension tube and then a conversion lens ie TCon or LC55 close up or Rayonx macro lens to your FZ35 camera. The function of this setting is to automatically zoom your lens out to the end of the extension tube. Using this setting in any mode without add on leses will not change or enhance your photos in any way. The instructions state that this mode should stay switched off when add on lenses are not being used. Hope this helps - Dyane

Ahhh thanks.. then I miss understood how to use this function. Apparently I missed that section of manual before I left Sunday lol. I'm going to head down to the lake in a few hours and practice night time shooting... that should be fun.. lol.

No Carol, the LA3 is only good for FZ28 and FZ35/38, for FZ40/45 FZ100 you need DMW-LA5 conversion lens adapter:

Yes Carol, you need the DMW-LA5, well spotted Catalex54

If you look around you can find the original LA5 cheaper than some Chinese copies.

You might also want to look at the Canon D500 close up leans, same price range. Check out LTZ470 shots

Really nice animal shots. Even though the close-up setting wasn't helping in any way, you did a great job with these
