Default Negative EV shots ....

Hi Y'all,

Kind of interesting shots of Negative EV + 500D + CPL

These images were taken at 11:00 a.m. sunny day by -1/3EV & -2/3EV. There is no photo shop at all on these images...Just testing...and loved it. Actually these flowers are really tiny.

G'day Jeff

Hey there mate - you've been looking over my shoulder ......

I found a long time ago that if I did flowers on the 'usual - multi-point' metering settings, that the delicate exposure of the flower petals was nearly always washed out just a bit - so I started to shoot all flowers at -2/3EV ... and have done so ever since

Regards, Phil

Hello Phil,

More shooting~~~~more discovering.....I used spot focus on these shots. What I like about was under the sunny(70`F), clear bright blue sky, images were turned out nice & cool as taken in a studio.....

Beautiful shots! Yes, I think white flowers are the most difficult things to photograph and you did a great job. Negative EV seems to be the only way.

Hi Jeff,

Good on you for trying out different options; the minor under-exposure works really well with these. I like your processing too, looks great!

That looks really cool ! Can you share the full settings because there is no exif in the shots. What is the 500D you are using?

I glad you brought that white flowers point up, any other color were okay w/normal sunny day setting. Thanks Saly.
