Default Peahen and her babies

There are lots of peacocks that live at the LA Arboretum, and their chicks have hatched recently. When you get close, you can hear the little ones making tiny chirping sounds constantly so their mother doesn't loose them.

Thank you everyone! These peacocks are so used to being around people, that they would walk right past you if you stand still. Unfortunately, their growing population is a bit of a problem for the neighborhood. They fly out of the park and roam the residential streets and yards, making a big mess and a lot of noise (they are VERY loud).

Great captures Saly, and thanks for sharing as I have never seen a baby peacock either - just adorable.

How cute they are!

I love picture #2!! Laughed at #3, it looks like baby is imitating Mom, in the previous photo.

Thanks for sharing them, Saly; as I've not even seen a peacock in real life!
