Default FZ35 - backyard deer

Sorry, I haven't been on much lately to post, or comment.

I shot a few images this evening of a tame deer that comes to us most every day. She is a yearling doe. We give her corn from a small bucket that we hold in our hand. This evening, I set the bucket down so that I could shoot some pictures.

Nothing here is very good, ... had to take the background I was given. The hour was late, so light not so good. But, we enjoy her, and find seeing her at hand's length most every day, entertaining and instructive. Looking at the pictures closely gives us a greater appreciation for the detail of her head.

Gorgeous shots Roger. She looks so sweet and is very lucky getting hand fed corn!

Default Arrived with an escort!

Thanks for all the favorable comments.

Tonight, the same doe arrived for feeding, a littler earlier in the evening (read: better light). A minute after she arrived, her escort arrived. Although not as tame, his pattern has changed in recent days. In one pic, he comes close enough to smell the bucket.

Although his head dress is coming along nicely, his best coat was left at home.

The last one is of the ears of the doe. The low light, the position of her head, made for a good opportunity. (How can a deer's ears make for a good pic? )
