I certainly didn't mind though as your link provides more detailed information.

I was looking at buying the new fz47, until finding out about the fz150 for $100 more. I shoot most pictures with a Nikon D90, but use an fz35 for a carry-around and for shooting video.

What is the main difference/benefit of this camera compared to the FZ40?

Hi Carol

the 47/48 has a 12.1 mp sensor NO RAW shooting and some minor tweeks

the 150 also has the 12.1 mp sensor HAS RAW, has a faster auto focus (think it is phase detecting like the G series, but not sure), here's a full link for the specs
