Default Panasonic DMC-FH20

I bought my husband a Panasonic DMC-FH20 camera. it is less than one year old. the viewing screen is green with lines on it. it was not dropped or damaged in any way. it was working fine one day, then the next time, not. i have checked the battery, and tried a different memory card, nothing helps. is it worth trying to salvage, or should i toss it away?

Isn't there a warranty? The best thing to do is to send it to an official service point if there is one close to you or mail it. If not then did you try to reset the camera to factory settings through the menu?

I agree with geoper, if it's still in warranty, take it back where you purchased it, or phone the Panasonic service center and then send it back.

If out of warranty, check how much to repair it, and compare it against a new camera.

People in these forums say Panasonic's last better than other brands. Good luck
