Default Charleston, SC

Brother and I are in Charleston, SC this weekend. Here are some pictures that I took with my FZ100

The first two pics are from the Cold War Submarine Memorial. The top of the sub and rudder are from the Ballistic Sub Lewis and Clark

Bow of the USS Yorktown this is with just a little over three quarter zoom.

Neat. I didn't even realize that there was a Cold War Submarine Memorial like that. I was even in Charleston just yesterday for a doctor's appt. at MUSC there. I guess I need to take a look around the area more often. :-)

Jim, the memorial is located on the left as you get near the Patriot's Point parking lot. The Yorktown bow shot was taken from the Mount Pleasant fishing pier. It can be accessed from a road that is on the right as go towards Patriot's Point.

geoper2, the Yorktown dates back to WWII. Today's Nimitz carriers are even bigger than the Yorktown. One of these days I will find a Nimitz carrier I can get on.

Great series, the sub memorial is very nice, and I love the bridge shots, great perspective.
