Default How to test ISO quality/noise...

..simply and not "professionally".

I would like to make an ISO test of the FZ150:

1) should it be without flash?

2) let's say P mode for a start, how can be a bit relieable to do it?

3) I have several subjects, the more "colours" the better.

4) Which settings? iISO, Auto, Limit ISO to XXX?

Thanks in advance

Hi bimbobo

Talking in general terms, flash should be turned off.

I would think using 'A' (aperture) mode would make the tests easier to do :

Limit ISO to 80
Choose your subject to take shots of
and run through all combinations of F stop and shutter speed that the camera says are correctly exposed

Repeat increasing ISO to next higher value

Your results will show how well the camera responds, and from that you can know what setting to avoid when shooting real photos.
